These terms and conditions and the Distant Selling Regulations apply to all purchases of Goods and/or Services from The Archery Shop Ltd through this Website. Please read these terms carefully before using this website. Using this website or placing an order indicates that you accept these terms.

1.1 When you purchase Goods and/or Services from this Website you agree to be bound by The Archery Shop website’s terms and conditions which govern its use.
1.2 The online terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
1.3 The Archery Shop may vary the online terms and conditions at any time. Your continued use of the Website following any variation to the online terms and conditions shall be deemed to be acceptance of any variation.
2. Service availability
2.1 The Archery Shops Website is for use by United Kingdom and overseas residents.
2.2 Goods and/or Services ordered from The Archery Shops Website for delivery outside the United Kingdom may be subject to import duties and taxes or handling charges which are levied when the delivery reaches the country of destination. The Archery Shop does not have any control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Payment of any such charges, taxes or import duties will be your responsibility and you must comply with the applicable laws and regulations held within the destination country. Please check with your local customs office for further information prior to placing your order.
3. The contract
3.1 Your order constitutes an offer to The Archery Shop to buy Goods and/or Services. All orders are subject to acceptance by The Archery Shop and such acceptance will be by way of email confirming payment has been received for the Goods and/or Services (the purchase confirmation). The contract between you and The Archery Shop will only be formed when you are sent the purchase confirmation.
3.2 The contract will relate only to those Goods and/or Services which have been confirmed in the purchase confirmation.
4.1 You will be able to access most areas of this Website without registering your details with us. The Club section of this Website will only open to you if you register (details are available by selecting the Club tab on the main menu). Access is given to this Website in accordance with these online terms.
4.2 You warrant that in using The Archery Shops Website and completing the online registration you will not impersonate any other person, use a false name or - without proper authority - act for any other person or organisation.
4.3 While The Archery Shop endeavours to ensure that this Website is normally available 24 hours a day, we will not be liable if for any reason this Website is unavailable at any time or for any period.
4.4 Access to this Website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair beyond The Archery Shops control.
5.1 Whilst The Archery Shop makes every effort to maintain the accuracy of the information on this Website, it disclaims any warranty or representation, expressed or implied, about accuracy, completeness or appropriateness for a particular purpose.
6.1 The Archery Shop reserves the right to take legal action against anyone committing or attempting to commit online fraud.
7. Price and payment
7.1 Prices and any additional related charges (where applicable) are as published on The Archery Shops Website for the relevant Goods and/or Services on the date of your order.
7.2 Where Value Added Tax (VAT) is chargeable, this will be added and displayed separately at the checkout and on the order summary and receipt at the current prevailing rate. This rate may vary from time to time.
7.3 The Archery Shops Website contains a large number of Goods and/or Services and despite its best efforts there may be occasions where Goods and/or Services may be priced incorrectly. Where this has occurred, we are entitled to cancel your order and issue you with a refund for the amount you have paid, after which you can resubmit your order for the product at the correct price.
7.4 Payment for Goods and/or Services is accepted through major credit and/or debit cards. Your card will be charged directly after your order has been placed but the time taken to process the payment through your account will be dependant on your card supplier.
7.5 The Archery Shop accepts no liability if a payment is refused or declined by the credit or debit card supplier for any reason.
7.6 The Archery Shop accepts no liability for any loss or damage, arising directly or indirectly, as a result of a payment being refused or declined.
7.7 If you are purchasing from outside the United Kingdom you will be charged in your own currency and the banks will perform the currency conversion into pounds sterling.
7.8 Confirmation of your payment will be displayed on screen once it has been authorised and accepted. You will also receive confirmation of the transaction to the email address you have provided.
7.9 We reserve the right to refuse to process payments.
7.10 We may at our sole discretion do such checks as we may deem fit before processing a credit or debit card payment from the user, for security reasons. As part of such checks, we may disclose personal data to third parties for the purpose of carrying out these security checks. In the event that we are not satisfied with the credibility of the User, we will have the right to reject the payment.
7.11 We will not be liable for any damages resulting from our decision not to process a payment made through our Online Payments facility.
7.12 In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options. Payment is to be made to Klarna:

8. Product Availability
8.1 Our website uses different statuses regarding product availability, taking into consideration both the stock in our warehouse and the stock of our distributors. Here are the detailed explanations of what each status refers to:
Available. This status means that the product is either in our stock or is available from one of our suppliers. We aim to ship all available products within 2 to 5 working days.
Back Order (2-6 Weeks). This status means that the product is normally kept in stock with us or with our supplier, but, for the moment, there is a stock shortage. The delivery times on back orders can take up to 6 weeks. Normally, the items will arrive sooner than this, as they are popular products and best sellers. We will ship the product as soon as it is back with us.
Please Note: back ordered items can sometimes take longer than the estimated 6 weeks. In this case, if the timeframe exceeds your expectations, the order for these products can be cancelled and refunded/credited to your account.
Special Order (6-12 Weeks). This status means that the product is not kept in stock with us or with our suppliers and needs to be manufactured or assembled on request. The 6 to 12 weeks delivery time is an estimate based on previous delivery times; on occasions, items can arrive sooner or they can be delayed beyond the initial 6-12 weeks estimate (The average time frame is around 8 weeks however on rare occasions this can surpass the 12 week estimate). There are multiple factors that can contribute to it: manufacturer's components stock availability, specialised staff availability, transport terms etc. The Archery Shop is not liable for any delays that have resulted from this type of situations that are beyond our control.
Please see Paragraph No. 20 for more details on Special Order items.
Close Out. This status means that the product is no longer being manufactured and the available items are the only ones left. We aim to ship all available products within 2 to 5 working days.
9. Delivery or Collection
9.1 The Archery Shop will deliver the Goods to the Delivery Address you gave when you placed the order.
9.2* Please select a delivery method at the Check-Out, please note orders shipped via 'Royal Mail UK (Not Tracked*)' are as stated - NOT tracked - We strongly advise that you select the 'Royal Mail UK (Signed For)' option - as Royal Mail state we need to wait a minimum of 15 working days before we can make a claim for the lost/missing goods.
9.3 Your order will usually be shipped within 2-5 working days after the day of purchase, unless a selected product is a Special Order or a Back Order. If there is expected a delay outside of this timeframe we will email or telephone you with the relevant information.
9.4 Please allow 1-3 working days from the date we sent the dispatch email for orders sent by courier, and 2-5 working days for orders sent by Royal mail within the UK.
9.5 If you have not received your parcel by then, please contact us with your order number and we will track the delivery for you. All orders in excess of £20 will usually require a signature. Parcels are not considered lost by Royal Mail until a minimum of 15 working days have past.
9.6 Please note that orders requiring additional services may take longer to dispatch. e.g. cutting of arrow shafts or custom made arrows. Custom made arrows are usually dispatched within 5-7 working days. (Monday – Friday)
9.7 Oversized items that are larger than 120cm (in length or width) will incur a shipping surcharge. Also, anything with a volumetric weight over 25kg will incur a shipping surcharge. Volumetric weight is calculated by the formula: W = (Length x Width x Height) / 5000. Please note that the measurements are taken in centimetres.
9.8 The risk in the Goods will pass to you as soon as they are delivered to you.
9.9 In the situation of a Promotion that offers free shipping for orders over a certain amount of money (i.e. free shipping over £100), if items are returned for a refund and the new total amount of the order is under the initial specified amount, then the shipping price will be deducted from the refund.
Example: if you have ordered items valuing £125 and want to return some of the goods bought that are worth £33, then the new order value is £92. Therefore, you are not entitled to free shipping anymore, so the original saving on the postage will be deducted from the £33 refund.
9.9a If you selected 'Collection In Store' when placing your online order the process is as follows:
We will process your order - this may involve ordering an item or items from our supplier. As soon as your order has been completed a member of staff will call or email you the customer to arrange a suitable time and date to collect from our store. Please wait for one of our staff members to contact you with details before coming to collect your order.
10. International Delivery/Orders
10.1 We offer International Customers a delivery option of 'Royal Mail – Not Tracked' for orders that can be delivered by Royal Mail (orders usually weighing less than 2kg and are within Royal Mails size restrictions). This is a low cost option and if selected is entirely at the customers risk. The Archery Shop will not be liable to refund any order that fails to reach its destination as we have no way of tracking the order. Please be aware when selecting this shipping option.
10.2 While the majority of products shipped abroad give a trouble free life, sometimes warranty service is required. For international orders on all items, The Archery Shop will not cover shipping expenses for the return of goods or the sending out of replacement goods. In all instances without exception you will be responsible for shipping costs both ways. Please consider this important point when having goods delivered outside the United Kingdom.
10.3 Please also consider that it is a likely requirement of the manufacturer that faulty goods be sent back to the place of purchase. Sometimes manufacturers may handle claims directly. If you need to return goods please contact us for instructions and approval. Do not ship anything to us without prior approval.
10.4 The Archery Shop cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from your country's import laws and customs.
11. Refunds and cancellations
11.1 Where you are entitled to a refund it will be made to the original payment option you selected to pay for the order within 14 days of the date the refund was authorised.
11.2 If, for any reason, The Archery Shop is unable to supply the Goods and/or Services you have ordered, any charges incurred will be refunded.
11.3 Return postage costs (UK only): if your item arrived faulty or fails under warranty within 30 days of delivery, we will arrange collection, offer a freepost return or we can refund your return postage costs once authorised.
If the order is returned at a postage cost higher than that originally paid, then we will not refund the extra costs.
If the item(s) require service under warranty after the 30 days, then you will be responsible for the return cost to us. We will, however, cover the shipping costs of the repaired/replaced item(s) to you.
Please keep in mind that the postage method must be pre-approved in advance via email with The Archery Shop.
11.4 You have the right to cancel the contract and return goods up to fourteen working days following delivery. The Archery Shop will refund the cost of the goods returned but it is not obliged to refund the cost of postage and packing. Any refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the goods - provided that the goods are in the same new and unused condition as they were at the time of purchase.
11.5 You must take reasonable care of the products you want to return while they are in your possession and ensure that they are returned in the same condition as when they were received by you.
11.6 In the situation of a Promotion that offers free shipping for orders over a certain amount of money (i.e. free shipping over £100), if the items are returned for a refund and the new total amount of the order is under the initial specified amount, then the shipping price will be deducted from the refund. Example: if you have ordered items valuing £125 and want to return some of the goods bought that are worth £33, then the new order value is £92. 11.7 Faulty products
If your item develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, we’ll give an exchange or refund with proof of purchase. After 30 days, you will not be legally entitled to a full refund if your item develops a fault. We'll repair or replace the product in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12. Data protection policy
12.1 The Archery Shop does not hold customer credit or debit card details on its Website or any of its data systems. All credit or debit card details are managed by The Archery Shop’s payment service provider PayPal, who is compliant with the payment industry’s highest standards for data protection and transaction security.
12.2 Any personal data collated through The Archery Shop’s Website will be treated confidentially and will only be used to process your order.They will also be used for statistical analysis to continually improve the Website and its Services to you. Personal data will be processed in compliance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998.
12.3 Data may be shared with the police, the government or any other legal authority investigating suspected illegal activities if there is an official request.
13.1 As a customer you agree to indemnify The Archery Shop against all claims, damages and expenses arising out of any breach of these online terms and conditions and other liabilities arising out of your use of The Archery Shops Website.
14. Limitation of liability
14.1 The Archery Shop will not be liable in contract, tort or pre-contract representations (excluding fraudulent or negligent misrepresentations) or otherwise, for any economic losses, loss of goodwill or reputation or special indirect losses incurred by you or any third party arising out of or in connection with these online terms and conditions.
15. Complaints and disputes
15.1 Whilst every effort is made to ensure that every order is completed correctly we may occasionally make an error. If we have made an error on your order, the correct procedure is to first contact us by email or telephone explaining the problem. We treat all complaints seriously and we will always handle any such issues as quickly and professional as possible.
15.2 In case we made a mistake, please let us know within 14 days from the receipt of your order. We will endeavour to reply to your complaints within 3 working days.
16.1 The guarantee period on all goods purchased is strictly 12 months from invoice purchase date, regardless of any warranty replacements. All products sold are brand new, as supplied directly from the respective manufacturers or distributors, unless purchased from the Clearance section of our website. Products bought from our Clearance section come with a 30 day guarantee.
17. Damaged Items
17.1 If you receive by courier a damaged parcel, please mark “Damaged” on the delivery note when signing for the parcel. If the parcel is signed for as “in good condition” and the damage has not been recorded, the contents cannot be claimed for and the loss will be at the customer's expense.
18. VAT (Value Added Tax)
18.1 For customers outside the United Kingdom, VAT is not payable. Within the current rules and regulations, most items shipped to the Channel Islands and Isle of Man exclude VAT.
19. e-Gift Vouchers
Conditions of use:
19.1. Vouchers can only be used online at The Archery Shop at www.TheArcheryShop.co.uk.
19.2. E-gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash. We do not give change or refunds on e-gift cards. Any balance remaining on the card will be applied to future purchases, provided the card has not expired.
19.3. Vouchers can be used to purchase goods or services.
19.4. Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash or other denominated vouchers. (your 14 day distance selling stautory rights are unaffected)
19.5. Refunded e-Gift cards within the statutory 14 days can only be returned to the original purchaser via the original payment method.
19.6. If an intended purchase is for a higher amount than the face value of the voucher(s), the difference can be made up with a payment. If it is less, then change can not be given.
19.7. E-gift cards expire 24 months from purchase.
19.8. Physical Gift Vouchers donated as prizes or gifts have a 3 month expiry from the date of acceptance and are non - refundable.
19.9. The Archery Shop Limited, shall not be liable in the event of any vouchers being lost, damaged or stolen.
19.10. Protect your e-gift card and treat it as cash. Lost, stolen, expired or damaged e-gift cards will not be replaced or exchanged for a new e-gift or for physical gift cards or cash.
20. Special Order Terms & Conditions
20.1 Various items listed online are not kept in stock and are only available to Special Order. By submitting an order featuring any Special Order item(s) - including discontinued Clearance item(s) or any item(s) requiring services to be performed on the product prior to dispatch - you agree to our Special Order Terms & Conditions.
20.2 If we are buying in an item specifically to your requirements, we do not expect you to cancel or change anything once the order process has commenced. Any requests for cancellations will be denied. If any item is deemed to be unavailable or discontinued, then only we may authorise a cancellation.
20.3 All other terms and conditions are in full compliance with the UK DTI regulations on distance selling.
20.4 The following items are also defined as Special Order and may not be cancelled or returned:
• All items that have been ordered in for you as a 'Special Order' regardless of the time-scale unless this can be cancelled by the Manufacturer or Supplier.
• Arrow and arrow shafts cut to a requested length. (Our tolerances for cutting are +-1/8".)
• Goods made to your specifications or modified from the manufacturer's original specifications by your request. These include, but are not limited to: fletching of arrows, custom made bows and custom made bowstrings.
• DVDs may not be returned if unsealed, unless under warranty.
20.5 If a Special Order item is included with non-Special Order products the complete order will be shipped only when the Special Order item/s arrive.
20.6 If you would like us to Part-Ship any order containing a Special Order as in 18.5 please contact us to confirm and make the extra Postage Charge.
21. Promotion Days and Special Discounts
21.1 From time to time, The Archery Shop will have special sale events, or flash sales. These are normally during holidays, for example Boxing Day Sale, Mother's Day Sale, Easter Sale, Cyber Monday Sale etc.
21.2 In case of such sale, the discount will not include orders placed using The Archery Shop finance scheme, and cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts & vouchers or on the Hoyt & Uukha product range. Customers are advised to create an account or use their existing one.
21.3 FREE Shipping Promotions - this offer is not valid during other The Archery Shop promotions. Other exemptions are as follows: oversized items; discounted bundles and packages; when payment is made using gift vouchers, loyalty points or credits.
22. Age Restricted Products
22.1 Age restricted products will be described as such on the product page for that item and within any shop display for such items.
Example: 21+ AGE RESTRICTED ITEM
22.2 By creating an order for an age restricted product displayed on our web site, you are confirming that you are over the required age. Please be aware that it is an offence to attempt to buy an age restricted product, or product components, if you are under the required age, or to attempt to purchase them on behalf of someone else who is under the required age.
22.3 We are required to make sure all our age restricted products are sold only to those of appropriate age. As well as clearly labelling all our age restricted products, we also carry out age verification checks and keep a record of refusals. Here is what we do:
1. We check the public version of the electoral roll, also known as the open register. We do this to verify your age and address.
2. We will contact you via e-mail asking for proof of age. To speed the process up, you can send this information when you place your order. You will need to provide us with a scan or photo of your official ID: full and valid driver's license. If we are unable to get a positive ID match via public means, we will contact you for further information.
22.4 For overseas purchases age verification is still required. The customer is responsible to ensure that they are complying to their country laws regarding importing crossbows.
22.5 Unfortunately, if you are unwilling, or unable to provide suitable proof of age documentation, we will have to refuse the sale. Your order will be cancelled and refunded in full.
